Hello, Happy New Year! Welcome to DTC’s blog.
2011 was a revival year for San Francisco filmmaking and DTC was happy to play it’s part! After starting the year with work on the feature films Hemmingway and Gelhorne (HBO), The Master, Cherry, Red Tails, 5 Year Engagement and Knife Fight, we wrapped up the year working on a great looking new surf feature, Of Men and Mavericks. See some pictures from the DTC yard and Half Moon Bay below. 2011 also saw the release of three features that shot portions in the Bay Area as well… Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Contagion and Moneyball.
This year we also had the opportunity and pleasure to work with Amy Lemisch and the California Film Commision to get California Film Tax Incentive extensions moved through the state congress in Sacramento. We’re very excited with the progress we made this year helping to bring filmmaking BACK to California. Here’s hoping for more in 2012!
After gussying up the warehouse with Holiday lights and a green Kino Flo light tree (tasteful?), DTC threw it’s anual Holiday Party on December 16th. There was lots of food, drink, more food, EVEN more drink and we seem to remember good times being had by all
Special thanks to Ranahan Production Services for loaning us extra chairs, tables, tents and heaters! And a big thanks to everyone who came!
Now that 2011 is over, we look forward to a productive start in 2012…
